New Life Academy’s Sister School in Ghana

At New Life Academy, our vision reaches beyond our local community to make a global impact. This is made possible through our partnership with New Life Church. NLC supports global workers all around the world. One of the global workers, Prince Paul Konu, is a church planter in Ghana. Four years ago, Prince Paul purchased a school building adjacent to his church in Ghana with the hope of launching a Christian school. New Life Academy of Ghana was started as a sister school to New Life Academy of Woodbury through both prayer and funding.

Over the years, New Life Church and New Life Academy have consistently aided in the school’s development and growth, sending school supplies, toys, and medical supplies. Our students have gotten involved in showing their support, collecting books and supplies to be sent to Ghana.

Three New Life staff members recently visited New Life Academy of Ghana to personally deliver supplies, offer support, and provide training. The team included Lower School Principal Dan Palkki, Director of Facilities Craig Nordgren, and Director of Live Production Sam Pederson. This is the first time New Life members have had the opportunity to travel to Ghana and be involved directly with their students and community. From joining recess and engaging with students to helping develop a mission and vision statement, New Life hopes to help set a strong foundation for this school’s future growth as we strengthen and continue this partnership.

This trip has been a big step forward in New Life’s partnership with the school in Ghana, allowing new levels of support with trainings on educational best practices to help provide a faith-filled and Christ-centered education for this upcoming generation.

We are blessed to have global partnerships and ask that the New Life community would join us in prayer for the kingdom work Prince Paul and New Life Academy of Ghana are doing!
