Thank you for considering New Life Academy for your child’s education. We are honored to be part of your family’s story and to partner with you in providing a Christ-centered education grounded in shared faith and values.
We decided to move our three students to New Life, and it has been a wonderful choice! We have no regrets about transitioning from public to private school. Our kids are thriving and absolutely love it here, where they have quickly made friends.
Admissions Standards
Enrollment is open to students and families who meet academic and admissions requirements and who affirm and support NLA’s Statement of Faith and Social Positions. We encourage you to review our Admission Standards before applying to ensure NLA is the right fit for your family.
Spiritual Commitment
- At least one parent or guardian must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ and affirm agreement with NLA’s Statement of Faith.
- Both the student and at least one parent must be actively involved in a Christ-centered church community and committed to growing their relationship with Christ.
- At least one parent must agree to support NLA’s Social Positions respectfully.
Academic Performance
- Students transferring from another school are required to provide academic records. Records should reflect grade-level performance across all subjects, consistent effort and stability in both academic achievement and behavior, and minimal absences.
- If a student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), it must be reviewed before acceptance to ensure the school can provide appropriate support and resources to meet the student’s needs.
- To supplement missing or insufficient academic records, student applicants may be required to take an entrance assessment.
Behavior Expectations
- Students and parents must be in good standing with their current school and demonstrate conduct that reflects respect, integrity, and responsibility. Behavior that is disruptive to a school or community environment may disqualify applicants.
- Both students and parents are expected to uphold standards of behavior, on and off campus, that are consistent with NLA’s Christian values.
Financial Responsibility
- For students transferring from another private school, a letter on official school letterhead may be required to confirm that all financial commitments have been fulfilled.
- Financial accounts with NLA must be in good standing. Families who previously withdrew from NLA without completing their tuition contract must settle any outstanding balances before a new admissions application will be considered.
Parent Partnership
A strong partnership between the school and families is essential to the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of each student. Parents and guardians must commit to working collaboratively with teachers and the administration to cultivate an environment where students thrive through a united school-family relationship.
- Shared Mission: Parents affirm their support of NLA’s mission to educate students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically through a biblical worldview and nurture faith at home and school.
- Active Communication: Families commit to regular, respectful, and transparent dialogue with teachers, administrators, and staff, that fosters trust and understanding.
- Supportive Environment: Parents model and encourage a positive attitude toward the school’s values, policies, and community standards both at home and in the broader community.
- School Involvement: Families engage in school events, volunteer opportunities, and spiritual activities that reinforce and contribute to the sense of community that defines NLA.
- Conflict Resolution: In the spirit of Christian unity, parents commit to resolving concerns or misunderstandings in alignment with biblical principles and the school’s established communication guidelines.
- Honest Disclosure: Parents are expected to fully and accurately disclose any known learning differences, developmental delays, behavioral/social/emotional needs, health concerns, or special needs their student may have to ensure the school can provide appropriate support and foster a successful learning environment.

- Updated IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)
- Birth certificate (Preschool Prep – Kindergarten)
- Early Childhood Screening (Kindergarten)

- Photo of your child
- A non-refundable application fee of $150 for each application
3. Complete Variable Tuition Application (If Applicable)
Variable Tuition is a need-based tuition assistance program for grades K-12 that helps make a Christian education more accessible. If you’d like to apply to receive Variable Tuition, complete the application through FAST as soon as possible after submitting your admissions application. Learn more about Variable Tuition.
4. Schedule a 6-12th Grade Shadow Day (Optional)
Many prospective students enjoy spending a half or full day shadowing a current NLA student in the same grade. This experience gives students the opportunity to meet peers, attend classes, engage with faculty and staff, and get a firsthand look at life at New Life Academy. Shadow days are arranged through the Admissions Office and are based on student availability and the school schedule.
5. Arrange Your Family Interview
After your admissions application is complete and all required documents have been reviewed, we will schedule an admissions interview with the division principal. At least one parent and the student are required to attend. A student assessment may also be included, if needed.
6. Receive Admissions Decision
The NLA Admissions Committee reviews each applicant’s materials, including application documents and interview feedback, in alignment with our Admissions Standards and available openings in the student’s grade level. Families will be notified of the decision and, if accepted, will receive the next steps for enrollment.
- Acceptance: The Admissions Committee’s acceptance email is sent, and the next steps are provided.
- Wait Pool Policy: Due to high demand and limited space, accepted students may be placed in an unranked wait pool if their grade level is full. Families will be contacted if a spot becomes available, along with any additional steps needed (see complete policy for more information).
- Denial: While every application is carefully reviewed, not all students are offered admission. Decisions may be based on academic readiness, alignment with standards, available space, or the school’s ability to provide needed support (see complete policy for more information).
7. Finalize Enrollment
Enrollment contracts must be signed and an enrollment deposit made within 7 days of receiving the acceptance email. All enrollment steps on the contract must be completed before your student is officially enrolled and their seat in class is reserved. Enrollment deposits are applied toward your tuition.

Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQs-
Is there an admissions deadline, and what if we miss it?
New Life Academy does not have a strict admissions deadline — we accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year as space allows. However, we encourage families to apply early, especially for Early Education, as seats fill quickly. Our priority enrollment period typically opens in January for current families, followed by open enrollment for new families. If you miss the priority window, you are still welcome to apply, and we will do our best to find a place for your child if space is available, or add you to our waitlist. The best time to apply is as soon as you are ready. Learn more and start the process on our admissions page.
-
Is there an application fee to be considered for enrollment?
Yes, there is a $150 non-refundable application fee required to complete your child’s application. This fee applies to all applicants and helps support the admissions review process. It is due at the time of application submission. Learn more about our admissions process and next steps on our admissions page.
-
What paperwork or documents do we need to apply?
To apply to New Life Academy, families will need to complete an online application and submit the following documents:
- Completed application form (submitted online)
- $150 non-refundable application fee
- Most recent report card or academic records (for students entering grades 1–12)
- Teacher recommendation form (for students entering grades 1–12)
- Immunization records (required prior to enrollment)
- Birth certificate (required prior to enrollment)
Additional documentation may be requested based on your child’s specific needs or grade level. For Early Education applicants, requirements are simpler and our admissions team will guide you through the process. Learn more and begin your application on our admissions page.
-
Do new students need to take a placement test or academic evaluation?
For most students, NLA does not require a formal placement test as part of the admissions process. Instead, we review academic records, teacher recommendations, and other application materials to understand your child’s readiness and needs. For students entering certain grade levels or with specific learning needs, we may request additional information or a conversation with our academic team to ensure we can set your child up for success. Our goal is to understand each student as a whole person, not just measure academic performance. Learn more about what to expect on our admissions page.
-
When will we hear if our student is accepted?
After submitting a complete application, families typically receive an admissions decision within a few weeks. During our priority enrollment season (January through spring), decisions are sent on a rolling basis. Our admissions team will contact you with next steps once a decision has been made. If you have questions about the status of your application, you are always welcome to reach out to our admissions office directly. Learn more on our admissions page or contact us at admissions@newlifeacademy.org.
-
Do siblings of current students get priority in admissions?
Yes, siblings of currently enrolled students receive priority consideration during the enrollment process. During our priority enrollment window in January, current families — including those adding a sibling — have the first opportunity to secure a spot for the upcoming school year. We encourage families to apply early to take advantage of this priority window. Learn more about our enrollment timeline and process on our admissions page.
-
What payments are due to confirm our child’s enrollment?
Once your child is accepted, you will sign an enrollment contract and submit a non-refundable enrollment deposit to secure their spot. The deposit is $450 for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12, and $200 for Early Education students. This deposit is applied toward your overall tuition balance — it is not an additional cost on top of tuition. Tuition payments for the upcoming school year begin in July, and families can choose to pay monthly, bi-annually, or annually. Learn more about tuition and payment options on our tuition page.
-
What should parents expect during registration and orientation?
After enrollment is confirmed, families go through a registration process where they complete required forms, submit health records, and set up their student’s account and tuition payment plan. Before the school year begins, NLA hosts orientation events to help new students and families feel welcome and prepared. These include a Meet the Teacher night so children can visit their classroom and meet their teacher in a relaxed setting. Families receive information about school policies, daily routines, technology platforms like Schoology, and how to stay connected throughout the year. Our goal is to ensure that both students and parents feel confident, informed, and excited before the first day. If you have questions at any point, our admissions and office teams are here to help. Learn more on our admissions page.
-
What academic or behavior standards should new students meet?
New Life Academy welcomes students who demonstrate a willingness to grow academically and live by our community standards rooted in Christ-like character. While we do not require students to have a specific GPA or test score to apply, we do look for students who are engaged learners and can thrive in our academically rigorous, faith-centered environment.
Behaviorally, we ask that students and families affirm our Statement of Faith and support our social positions, and that students are committed to treating others with respect, kindness, and integrity. We look for students who are a good fit for our community — not perfect, but willing to grow.
For students with specific academic needs or learning differences, we review applications individually to ensure we can provide the right level of support. Our admissions team is happy to discuss your child’s needs before you apply. Learn more about our expectations and values on our admissions page and Statement of Faith.

How do you decide who gets accepted?
At New Life Academy, our admissions decisions are made holistically, looking at the whole child and family — not just grades or test scores. We consider several factors when reviewing applications:
- Academic readiness: We review report cards and teacher recommendations to understand how a student learns and whether NLA’s academic environment is a good match.
- Faith and values alignment: Families must affirm our Statement of Faith and support our social positions. We are a Christ-centered school, and this shared foundation is essential to our community.
- Behavioral history: We look for students who are committed to treating others with respect and who are a good fit for our community culture.
- Capacity to support the student: We want to ensure we have the resources and support in place to help each student thrive. For students with significant academic or behavioral needs, we may discuss whether NLA is the right fit before making a decision.
- Available space: Enrollment is subject to available seats in each grade level.
Our goal is to find families who are excited about our mission and ready to partner with us. Learn more about our admissions process on our admissions page.
