Introducing Ms. Bohlig – Fifth Grade Teacher

By student Lincoln N. and edited for clarity by New Life Academy.

Ms. Bohlig is a phenomenal teacher with a deep and sincere love for the Lord and for her students. We are so grateful to have her on the New Life team.

Dan Palkki – Lower School Principal

Ms. Bohlig had the option to join the New Life community as either a third or fifth grade teacher. In the end, she opted to go with the latter option because that’s where she feels there is the biggest opportunity to work with kids who are curious about the world.

“When I was in fifth grade, I feel like that was when I started learning more about who God was, how to be friends with people, and how to talk to people,” reflected Bohlig. “Fifth grade is where they are learning those things, and I want to be around my students to help them grow and influence them.”

Since joining the fifth-grade team, Ms. Bohlig has been blessed to work alongside exceptional role models like Mr. Frank Arend and Mrs. Mackenzie Snyder. Both of these veteran teachers have built excellent classroom cultures and are the perfect duo to guide Ms. Bohlig on her teaching journey.

Ms. Bohlig has a wisdom beyond her years. She has such a calm demeanor and goes about things very intelligently, despite being a first-year teacher.

The infectious energy that Bohlig brings to teaching is also abundantly present in her love for the Lord. She possesses a strong desire to see her students grow closer to God, a desire core to the mission of NLA and born out of her own deep faith, along with a genuine love for her students. Central to Bohlig’s desire to be a teacher is her genuine care for her students.

“I love getting to see the students every day!” exclaims Bohlig. “The stories that they tell me are so fun, and getting to know them throughout the school year is such a blessing. I’m always so excited to hear what they are saying.”
