New Life is a community committed to serving and spreading the message of Jesus Christ here, near, and far. Throughout the year, New Life Academy helps facilitate service opportunities for students and families, including class activities, Middle School Project Serve days, mission trips, and other community-wide events. One of these events is a food packing day through an organization called LifeRice.
Two years ago, New Life partnered with LifeRice to pack meals for a global missions partner in Lebanon. In addition to New Life’s partnership with LifeRice, New Life Church has also established a sister church relationship with House of Gospel in Cherkasy, Ukraine. This church is making a tremendous impact in serving the needs of the Ukrainian people through their ministry work.
LifeRice has been sending meals to areas in Ukraine for years, but has just recently opened a way to send food containers directly to Cherkasy. This new development provided New Life the perfect opportunity to bring back the food packing event. With the hardships of war and winter in Ukraine, the New Life community had the opportunity to pack more than 100,000 meals and send them directly to Cherkasy, blessing our sister church, House of Gospel. The event brought together many volunteers, including students, parents, staff, faculty, and church attendees. These opportunities allow us to make a global impact, and it is a blessing to be a part of such events.
