Variable Tuition

New Life Academy offers Variable Tuition to help families with varying incomes make private Christian education more accessible. It is a need-based tuition assistance program for grades K-12. Early Education students are not eligible for this program.

New Life Academy partners with FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) to process financial aid applications. FAST provides our school with a need-based financial analysis, allowing us to allocate our resources wisely and fairly. All information from FAST regarding a family’s request for financial assistance is kept confidential.

Aid ranges from $0 to a maximum of nearly half a year’s tuition, based on the financial need of each student’s family. We encourage families to apply as soon as possible after submitting an application for admission to New Life Academy. Variable Tuition is awarded annually for one school year, and families need to reapply each year. Please note that renewal is not automatic or guaranteed, as available funds and a family’s financial situation can change from year to year.

For questions regarding financial aid, contact the admissions office (VT@newlifeacademy.org or (651) 757-4380)

Thank you to the New Life donors. Without their generosity we wouldn’t have been able to send our son to New Life over the years. The financial assistance has been so critical and important to our family. New Life has really changed his life. I don’t have to worry about his future anymore. He’s thriving now and really happy. I know he’s going to do great things for other people in the world because he has such a great foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — families can make their tuition payments monthly, bi-annually, or annually.

How does NLA determine if a family is eligible for reduced tuition?

NLA partners with FAST, a third-party financial processor for private schools nationwide. FAST examines a family’s overall financial situation.

Is Variable Tuition available for students in all grades?

No. Variable Tuition applications are available for students in grades Kindergarten-12th. Variable Tuition is not available for Early Education students in Preschool Prep, Preschool, or Pre-K.

Could applying for Variable Tuition diminish the chances of my child being accepted to NLA?

No. Your application for Variable Tuition will be reviewed separately. Submitting an application for assistance has no bearing on your child’s admissibility.

Should we apply for admission to New Life first, or start with the Variable Tuition application?

The first step in the admission process is to create an admissions account in our Veracross Admissions portal. You can access the online application when you log on to your account. Families can apply for Variable Tuition at the same time, even if all admissions application requirements are not yet complete. This helps ensure that your Variable Tuition award gets processed before an offer of acceptance is given.

Do we need to apply for Variable Tuition every year?

Yes. A new application must be submitted every year. Since financial pictures can change from year to year, this ensures that NLA is able to provide funds based on need.
