Wait Pool and Denial Policy
At New Life Academy, we are blessed with a growing number of applicants each year. Our Admissions Committee carefully and prayerfully reviews every application with the goal of welcoming families who align with our mission and values. Due to limited space at each grade level, qualified applicants may be placed in a wait pool or may not be offered admission at times.
The following policies outline how the wait pool operates and how denial decisions are made, ensuring a consistent, transparent, and fair process.
Wait Pool Policy
New Life Academy continues to experience strong interest from families seeking a Christ-centered education. At times, the number of students who qualify for admission is greater than the spaces available in a particular grade. When this occurs, applicants who have been accepted may be placed in an unranked wait pool. This means:
- Placement in the wait pool is not a guarantee of future enrollment.
- The wait pool is not prioritized or ranked; if a space becomes available, the Admissions Committee will review all candidates in the pool to determine the best fit for the opening.
- Families will be notified if a space becomes available and will receive instructions for next steps at that time.
If space does not open during the current school year, families have the option to roll their application forward to the next academic year without any additional application fees. Please note that this does not guarantee admission, and students must complete the full admissions process again, including submission of updated materials and participation in any required interviews or assessments.
This policy helps ensure a fair and consistent admissions process while supporting families who wish to remain connected to New Life Academy.
Denial Policy
New Life Academy is committed to a thorough and prayerful admissions process. All admissions decisions are made by the Admissions Committee, which carefully reviews each application. While we strive to welcome families who align with our mission and values, not all applicants may be offered admission. Denial decisions may be based on a variety of factors, including alignment with our Admissions Standards, academic readiness, the school’s ability to provide adequate academic accommodations or services, behavioral history, and available space in the requested grade level.
If a student is not offered admission, families will be notified of the decision. Please note that New Life Academy does not provide specific reasons for admissions decisions and does not engage in discussions regarding individual outcomes. This policy is in place to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the admissions process.
