Campus Procedures
New Life Academy has implemented some changes to the way we enter campus and move throughout the campus during our days to minimize the amount of contact our students have with each other during the day. Please be aware of the following procedures that impact entering the building, drop-off lanes, moving through the hallways, and visitors on campus.
We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions every few weeks on what policy’s we can begin to reduce in an effort to return to our normal procedures that our community values.
Visitor Policy
New Life Academy will be limiting visitors on campus, including parents. We know this is a change but our focus is on the health and safety of students and employees on campus. For the time being, all visitors need to be pre-approved with an appointment. Until further notice, parents will be unable to enter campus during the morning arrival times, chapel, or during lunch as in previous years. We know that the first days of school come with important milestones and we will make every effort to recreate those memory-making moments outside the first week of school.
Division level entrances
Each division will have a designated door that they will need to enter and exit the building. Siblings that are in different divisions will need to use the approved door for their division.
- Early Ed will enter the front West Door by the Worship Center (marked in blue on the map)
- Lower School will enter the back West Door by the playground (marked in green on the map)
- Middle and Upper School will enter the Front Door (marked in yellow/orange on the map)

Carpool Lanes
To facilitate traffic during drop off and pick-up, we have designated carpool lanes that correspond to the Division Level entrances.
- Early Ed and Lower School will use Carpool Lane W.
- Middle and Upper School will use Carpool Lane E.
If you have children in multiple divisions, you can choose one carpool lane to drop your children off. Please note they will need to use their Division level door regardless of what carpool lane they are dropped off. Example: if you have a child in Lower School and Middle School, you may choose to use Carpool Lane W and have each child walk to their respective doors. You do not need to go through both carpool lanes.

One-Directional Hallways and Division Level Zones
We have implemented one-directional hallways and division level zones to minimize the amount of student gathering and mixing in the hallways. The maps below show the color-coded zones where students in each division will spend their day. Red directional arrows guide students one way through the hallways.

Minimizing Group Gatherings
To reduce the number of students gathering, we are adjusting some things in our day.
Lunches: Lunch will be eaten in the classrooms to minimize the number of students gathering in close settings without masks. Limited lunch service will be available for order. Students can also bring their lunch from home.
Chapel: Chapel will start out being live streamed into our classrooms
Lockers: To reduce students gathering around lockers, we will not be using them for the first few weeks of school. We will reassess the situation by Oct. 1.
