Senior Night on May 15 at 6 pm
NLA will host a senior night on campus at 6 pm. Graduates (and families) will be assigned a parking spot in the West lot for a time of recognition of their original graduation date. Students will receive a ‘Senior Celebration Pack’ containing caps, gowns, award certificates, and a balloon to release. Seniors should allow their gowns to hang and decorate their caps over the weekend.
Personal Graduation and Award Ceremonies the week of May 18-21
Each student and their family members (limited to 8 family members) will attend a personal graduation ceremony at New Life. These personal ceremonies will include the traditional pomp and circumstance processional, recognition of awards, presentation of diploma, turning of the tassel, time of prayer, and cap throwing. A videographer will capture moments from each personal ceremony to include in the Live Stream Ceremony on Many 29. A photo opportunity will be available in the Great Room prior to your ceremony.
Note: We are limiting each Graduate to a total of 8 family members (Parents, Siblings, Grandparents) in attendance. We will adhere to social distancing during this ceremony.
Class of 2020 Livestream Commencement Ceremony May 29 at 7pm
The individual videos will be edited together into a full virtual graduation ceremony, which will also include Processional to Pomp and Circumstance, Invocation, Pre-recorded choir performance, recognition and speeches by valedictorian and salutatorian, class slideshow, and presentation of the Class of 2020.
The Class of 2020 will be able to watch their entire class graduation for the first time in the presence of family, and it will also be available to the New Life community and any out of town family members.
Summer Cake Reception and Sending off Party
This summer (date TBD) we will celebrate the Class of 2020 will a sending off reception. This is an opportunity for students to have their yearbook signed, replicate missed graduation photos with their friends, and to celebrate their graduation milestone. Student should bring yearbooks, caps and gowns for photo opportunities.
