“Curt has built the athletic program here from scratch,” said Head of School, Cade Lambert. “I can’t imagine someone who has a better legacy than Curt.”

Curt Wetsel induction into hall of fame

Curt Wetsel, athletic director at New Life Academy has spent 36 years with the school, and will be finishing his career in June of this year.

“New Life Academy is a very special place and I have been blessed to spend my career here,” Wetsel said. “Retirement is certainly bitter-sweet. I will miss the daily interaction with the students and staff.”

In recognition of Wetsel’s retirement, New Life Academy has created an Athletic Hall of Fame, and Wetsel will be its very first inductee. Lambert said that Wetsel will continue to help lead the process of induction and management of the Hall of Fame.
